VDK has achieved a breakthrough in high-efficiency lycopene biosynthesis, yielding a single product that is easy to purify. Using this ultra-pure substrate and highly specific enzymatic catalysis, ultra-pure β-carotene is produced: the enzyme is reusable, the production cycle is short, impurities are minimal, and separation is straightforward, ultimately resulting in a product with >99% high content at a lower cost than direct fermentation!
